The Ivorian striker, who was honoured for his contribution to football by the Football Writers Association on Sunday, January 20, 2015, spoke to pressmen about emulating the Gunners all-time leading scorer who retired in 2014 with 228 goals for Arsenal.
‘Thierry Henry is an example and an inspiration to me, so to have my name next to his means a lot to me.’
‘He was the kind of player I always wanted to look like by scoring all the goals and winning all the trophies with Arsenal, Barcelona and France.’
