Special effects makeup, or SFX makeup like it’s called, is slowly gaining ground in the makeup world. It involves the use of paint, gelatin, latex and other similar materials to produce real-life grotesque-looking images, as seen in movies.
Some Nigerian make up artists are currently holding it down in the game and are doing an amazing job of it. One is twitter user, @CherylsBH01 and the other is an Instagram user, @__beautifully__flawed__, formerly @ola_artistry

For those who might be interested in learning, there are Youtube pages that give instructions on how they are done. You might also want to check out @freakmosfx’s instagram and youtube pages.
Be ready to spend some good money on the materials however. Nothing good comes cheap after all.
