Benue-born Nigerian hip-hop artiste Terry Madaki better known to his fans as Terry Tha Rapman is set to feature alongside veteran US rapper Havoc of the Mobb DEEP on a track called ‘Get it in’.
The track will be featured in a US/Africa compilation album, which was put together by a Ghanaian hip-hop enthusiast called Coptic; who’s also hosting the album.
Already, veteran rapper Modenine has featured with former Bad Boy Records artiste Black Rob for the same compilation and Modenine has confirmed that former SWATROOT affiliate Overdose will be the next in line.
In related news, Terry Tha Rapman who has been signed to MegaPhunk records since leaving Charles Novia’s November records in 2007 has restructured his year contract with the Lagos label. Owner of MegaPhunk Records C.E.O Yisa Jubril popularly known as Mega Jay Vox tells us Terry, who’s one of Nigeria’s most under-celebrated rappers, will now serve as President of the budding label.
Vox who has been unavailable to manage the label, as he has been consumed with his other businesses in Kaduna and Abuja, has handed over all executive decisions to Terry . The duo will now work as partners, sharing the label’s proceeds 50/50.
Terry Tha Rapman in his 10-year rap career has released two albums.
