The 25-year old singer made a surprise FaceTime call to Jalene Salinas on Monday, March 2, 2015 to make the youngster’s final dream come true after she expressed a desire to dance with Taylor to her hit, ‘Shake it Off’.
Speaking to Jalene’s mother, Jennifer Arriagas during the phone conversation, she said: ‘I got back from London and I heard about her and it’s just unfathomable to have to watch your baby go through this.’
According to a USA Today report, Jalene was said to be ‘in pain’ and as a result ‘didn’t talk much’ to her heroine but she did say ‘bye and thank you’ to the superstar singer.
Jalene’s final dream came true after Taylor’s fans – known as Swifties – started a social networking campaign to get #ShakeItOffJalene trending after hearing about her dying wish.
Following the surprise chat, Jennifer admitted she is delighted all of Jalene’s wishes have now been ‘checked off’.
She told KENS 5 News: ‘We can check everything off and as her mom it means the world to me that she got to do and see [everything] and everything is checked off now.
‘It means so much to me that you reached out to us,’ she told Taylor.
