#MTVMAMA2015: Patoranking beats Casper Nyovest, Stonebwoy to Best New Act award

Nigerian dancehall act, Patoranking just won the Best New act award at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards. He edged out South Africa's Casper Nyovest, Duncan and Ghanaian Stonebwoy to clinch the coveted prize sponsored by Absolut Vodka.

Nigerian music stars dominate MTV MAMA 2015 nominees list

Nigerian artistes dominate in at least 11 categories of the list featuring a total of 70 nominees across 13 different categories.

Breaking: Davido, Wizkid, Yemi Alade lead MTV MAMA 2015 nominations

Competing in the prestigious Best Male act category are AKA (SA), Davido (Nigeria), Diamond (Tanzania) and Wizkid (Nigeria), Sarkodie (Ghana) while artistes making their mark in the Best Female category include Bucie (SA), Busiswa (SA), Seyi Shay (Nigeria), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania) and Yemi Alade (Nigeria).
