
The 26-year-old striker, who netted 13 goals for his club side in the first half of last season’s EPL campaign went on seven-game goal droughts twice, from February 6 to March 13, and March 19 to May 8.

Odion however refused to blame the development solely on the distress his father’s death caused him.
‘The second part of last season was not really good for me because I was going through so many challenges which really affected me but I don’t want to give that as an excuse,’ Ighalo told Complete Sports.
The former Udinese striker also went on to say strikers who earn more than him suffered the same fate last season.
‘Sometimes strikers do go on a goal drought but nobody is going to kill themselves for that. Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud also went on some drought as well at Arsenal. These are good strikers who earn more than me,‘ he said.
