
During his illustrious musical sojourn, Okosun, a native of the old Bendel State now known as Edo State, was a master of many languages as he made music in Esan, Igbo, Yoruba, and English languages.

After spending a major part of his career making music that addressed social and political issues, Okosun would later on focus on music that mirrored his newly-embraced religious inclination.
A quick visit to his ‘House of Prayer Church‘ at Ogba, a suburb of Lagos by NET today, revealed that the giant auditorium looked a shadow of its old self as the once bubbling religious arena was under lock with no official on hand to speak to our correspondent.


If anything, the bold inscription on the banner is enough to show that though the ‘Free Mandela’ exponent is gone, he is surely not forgotten.
