Just a month after rising dancehall star, Stonebwoy won the Artiste of the Year award at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ahead of Sarkodie, the pair are set to battle once more for an even bigger gong.
With the nominations list of 2015 BET awards released yesterday, May 18, 2015, the two Ghanaians will vie for the award for Best International Act: Africa) along with other acts across Africa like Wizkid and Yemi Alade from (Nigeria), AKA and The Soil from (South Africa), Fally Ipupa from (Congo) and Sauti Sol from (Kenya).
Speaking on the nomination list, BET’s President of Programming said:
‘This year’s nominees showcase a diverse group of talent that includes long-standing entertainers, breakout performers, and outstanding athletes, we congratulate all of the talent on their remarkable contributions to the world of entertainment and look forward to them joining us in celebrating 15 years of the BET Awards.’
Sarkodie who has been very consistent on the Ghanaian and African music scene, won the 2012 edition of BET Awards as the Best International Act: Africa.
