Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi has condoled with striker, Emmanuel Emenike over the death of his father, Pa Felix Ndukwu who died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 after under-going surgery in Dubai.
Consoling his striker, Keshi said: ‘I can imagine what Emma is going through at the moment, the pain and the sense of loss that comes with losing someone as close and dear as one’s father. On behalf of every member of the Super Eagles, including the coaches, backroom staff and the players currently in camp here in Abuja, I want to console him and ask him to be strong for those Pa Emenike Ndukwu has left behind. We ask God to also strengthen him and comfort him.’
Emenike was part of the Nigerian squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, he was also part of the Super Eagles squad that reached the round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
He has been capped 35 times by Nigeria at senior level.
