Nigerian actress Stella Damasus caused quite a stir on social network Twitter when she tweeted that her husband friend Daniel Ademinokan had died.
‘OMG! RIP Daniel. Is everybody happy now? *tears*‘, @Stelladamasus.
A statement was immediately released from Damasus’ reps stating that her account had been hacked and that the disturbing tweet wasn’t sent from Stella Damasus.
‘Please, ignore any rumour about Daniel Ademinokan’s death. Stella Damasus’ Twitter account was hacked! Thank you all‘, Bayo Adetu, her publicist’s statement read.
Not very long after the tweet, Stella gained access to her account and immediately told her followers to discard the tweet.
‘Please disregard the last tweet that was sent from my account. It was hacked. I am really shocked that people would use someones life to play. That was a very expensive joke‘, Stella Damasus tweeted.
Publicity stunt? Maybe, maybe not.
The Nollywood actress has been making headlines in the past weeks after it was reported that she had eloped and gotten married to Ademinokan in New York.
