Popular talent show Star Quest is out again on its search for musical talents all over Nigeria.
Organisers say auditions will take place in four cities: Lagos, Benin, Enugu and Makurdi from Tuesday, February 21, to Thursday, March 8, 2012.
While other music related shows focus on individual talents, Star Quest brings together individuals with varying musical talents from different locations across the country to form a winning musical band.
We’re told the winning band for 2012 will get a N7.5 million recording contract, brand new minivan, one year guaranteed accommodation in Lagos, N600,000 for each band member and feature in STAR sponsored events as performing artists. In addition, there will be two eviction stages as against one in the previous episodes to increase the level of competition amongst the competing bands.
With the emergence of different groups since its inception; KC Presh (2002), D’Jewels (2007), Diamondz (2008), The Pulse (2009), Juke box 2010 and most recently The Beat in 2011 the show has provided a huge opportunity for upcoming Nigerian musicians to get their voices heard.
Star Quest is organised by the makers of Star lager beer, Nigerian Breweries Plc; who also own the Star Trek and Star Mega Jam music projects.
