The Spaniards were inspired to victory over the Italians by 22year-old Barcelona midfielder, Thiago Alcantara who scored a hat-trick edging out their opponents.
The game was well dominated by the Spanish side as the Italians couldn’t match their play, hence, the match ending with a 4-2 scoreline in favour of Spain.
The Spanish coach, Julen Lopetegui who spoke to ESPN said, ‘We are very happy now, not only with the win but also with the performance and the personality we showed. We are very proud of this. We think the most important thing is the players’ belief in the team’.
