A popular South African popular on air personality Ravi Govender has been fired by the Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) of South Africa for his country’s president, Jacob Zuma.
Govender was widely criticized after he wrote a Facebook post saying ‘Just hear Zombie Zuma giving a speech on the news. Massacring the beautiful English language. Uneducated creature. Even the other moron [Zimbabwe’s President Robert] Mugabe speaks much better.’
He soon apologized for the post but his radio station Radio Lotus terminated his contract, determining it as an act of bringing the station’s reputation into disrepute.
Jacob Zuma has had a difficult time with his citizens as many South Africans describe him as corrupt.
