Six persons suspected to be members of a hired assassin gang in Lafia, Nassarawa State were recently apprehended by police in the state.
According to the state’s police spokesman, DSP Michael Adah, the suspects where caught in their attempt to kill one Mr Anthony Eze, a businessman in Keana area of Lafia.
It was reported that the suspects met their doomsday when residents suspected their movement and alerted the police. They were arrested while on their way to the mission.
A locally made pistol, two cartridges and the sum of N25.890 was recovered from the gang.
