Six Kenyan journalists are amongst the 27 finalists for this year prestigious CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2013 Competition.
The six are Rose Roseline Wangui and Wambui Kurema (NTV), Judy Jeptum Kosgei and Mauritius Oduor (Citizen TV), Brenda Okoth (The Star), Thomas Otieno Bwire (Pamoja FM), and Florence Dallu, Freelance for Koch FM.
Announcing the finalists on Monday July 15, 2013, Feria Haffajee, Chair of the Independent Judging Panel said the completion received entries from 42 countries across the continent including French and Portuguese speaking Africa.
The winners of the competition will be announced at an Award Ceremony and Gala Evening in Cape Town, South Africa, on Saturday October 12, with CNN International’s Isha Sesay as host.
