Meat Loaf is said to be ‘stable’ and recovering in hospital after collapsing due to ‘severe dehydration’ at his show in Edmonton, Canada on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
The ‘Bat Out of Hell’ hitmaker panicked fans when he dropped to the floor on stage while belting out his classic song, ‘I Will Do Anything For Love’.
A representative for the 68-year-old singer said in a statement: ‘Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.’
‘He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal – he’s responsive and recovering well.’

Meat Loaf – whose real name is Michael Lee Aday – cancelled two other concerts in recent days, in Regina on Saturday and in Calgary on Tuesday, citing ill-health, but has promised to reschedule the postponed gigs.
The statement continued: ‘He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting to make a speedy and full recovery.’
‘Any concert postponements/rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time. Thank you for your support and understanding.’
