A new Pan African film titled Silver Rain and starring Eyinna Nwigwe, Uru Eke, Joselyn Dumas and others, will start screening in Nigeria from May 29, 2015 at the Film House, Surulere and other outlets.
The new movie was directed by Juliet Asante and boasts of members of cast from 5 African countries – South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone. and has premiered in Ghana already where it was well received.
The director of the movie, Juliet holds a Masters from the Harvard Kennedy School aside additional training at the Ghana Film & Television Institute and the renowned New York Film Academy, believes it is time for Africa to affect the world with its stories.
Speaking on the movie, she said: ‘We believe and know that Africa stands in a unique position to make an impact on the world through its films. One of the most important path to achieving this, is through the making of pan-African movies that leverages on our collective strengths as a continent! Silver Rain opens this door and calls on other players in the industry to push it wide open’.
