Showmax has announced that it will be winding down its standalone service over the coming months, with fan-favourite Showmax Originals, including Adulting, Youngins, and Wura, set to find a new home on DStv Stream.
The platform has outlined key dates for current subscribers to note. March 31, 2026, is the final day to renew a Showmax subscription or redeem any outstanding vouchers. From April 1, 2026, new subscriptions and renewals will no longer be available.
With this, DStv Stream is shaping up to be the perfect destination for every mood and every age group. For young adults, that means epic viewing with Shaka Ilembe Season 2, the action-packed Gladiators: Warriors of the Ancient World, and the sweeping historical drama King and the Conqueror.
During the Eid holidays, kids can also catch up on more exciting shows with Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, Harry Potter, Kung Fu Panda, and the beloved Madagascar series.
While the transition unfolds, there is plenty to keep DStv subscribers busy this month. Africa Magic Originals are bringing the heat on March 31, with the highly anticipated Wura Season 4 and the brand new drama series Dividends both premiering on the same day on Africa Magic Showcase.
