Now, Shakira’s mother Nidia and her father, William have revealed that she is carrying a brother for her 19-month-old son, Milan.
Her parents, speaking to Hola! magazine, said: ‘We’re very happy. She’s having another baby boy – a playmate for Milan.’
Although they know the sex of their next grandchild, Nidia and William do not know what Shakira and Gerard plan to call their next baby.
They added: ‘We don’t know anything about names yet.’
Shakira confirmed the happy news in a magazine interview and on her Twitter page telling her millions of followers: ‘Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you all for your well wishes!’
37-year old Shakira has previously stated she’d like to have a huge family with her 27-year old Barcelona star with her dream being to have enough kids to make up a soccer side of 11 players each.
She previously said: ‘If it weren’t because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard – my own fútbol team,’ she had said.
