See Tiwa Savage's date to the Channel O awards!

Celebs usually don’t have much time to spend with family due to their busy schedules, but when they do, why not in a special way?

Tiwa Savage did just that when she brought her mother as her date to the recently held Channel O Music Video Awards in South Africa. The photo was posted by the Channel O team on their official Twitter page and went viral within minutes, with everyone trying to match any sort of resemblance.

The Mavin Records signee and popular Nigerian Highlife artiste Flavour won the ‘Most Gifted R&B Music Video of the year’ award for their ‘Oyi’ remix. Excited, she tweeted ‘A huge thank you to @2niteflavour for having me on the best RnB song in africa :)’

Tiwa will be releasing her debut album in February 2013.
