The former Bayern Munich star earlier swore to have his hair shaved live on TV if the Black Stars of Ghana fail to win against South Africa, luckily for him, Ghana defeat South Africa but he didn’t escape the second time as Ivory Coast defeated Ghana 9 – 8 via penalty shoot-out to win the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
Left with no option, Sammy fulfilled his pledge, with Supersports host, Robert Marawa doing the honour of shaving off his hair.
Sammy Kuffor announced his retirement from Ghanaian national team in 2006 after 59 appearances in all competitions. He had an illustrious club career, retiring from in 2009 after playing for Bayern Munich, FC Nuremberg, Roma, Livorno, Ajax and Asante Kotoko of his native Ghana.
