Newly-wedded Gospel star, Sammie Okposo allegedly appeared in a
Scottish court after being charged for acting in a ‘racially aggravated’
manner at a restaurant on the Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade on Wednesday
July 7 while on honeymoon.
According to an online media report, Okposo was alleged to have
created a scene at Ronny Shui Hung Yung (the restaurant); cursing and
uttering ‘racist’ remarks directed to the restaurant management for
unconfirmed reasons.
Details remain scanty, but the award-winning gospel act didn’t outrightly deny the
allegation neither did he admit it when he contacted NET via the
telephone a few hours ago in response to our failed initial attempt
to speak to him.
‘Am I supposed to be responding to such report now that I just got
married? Are you not human? This is not the first time the press will
write stuff like that about me. I’m only calling you back because I
respect you as a press man. Talk to my publicist, he handles matters
like this’, Okposo said angrily.
When contacted, his publicist assured us ‘nothing like that happened’
A Source says Sammie was released on bail and expected
to return to the Aberdeen court in September 2010.

this guy is an African ambassador and i think Oyinlola dt just commented should respect that fact. let us confrim things before we judge. i know about d incident and this guy is very innocent of d charges. am not actually a fan but i respect his talents
