A cow, goat and cash were given to Zinhle’s family over the weekend in Dannhauser, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
‘We had a great day when the father of my grandchild came with his family to pay damages. He paid one cow, one goat and cash for the second cow. I am happy that he respected our tradition.
‘We became one family. It was like we had known each other a long time. As for ilobolo . . . maybe one day he will consider that but at the moment we are happy that he paid damages,’ Zinhle’s uncle, Mbongeni Jiyane told Daily Sun.
