Robin Thicke is said to be working on a new album of dance tracks in order to distract him from the heartbreak caused by his upcoming divorce from wife.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ singer has made numerous attempts to win back his 38-year-old wife, Paula Patton, since their split in February but after he was unsuccessful and with the actress having filed for divorce last week, he is now throwing himself into some up-tempo music to distract him from his woes.
Robin’s actor father, Alan Thicke told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ‘We’re a tough bunch. In the next album you’re going to dance your ass off.’
37-year-old Robin released an album of love songs dedicated to his wife of nine years – with whom he has four-year-old son, Julian – titled ‘Paula’ earlier this year in a bid to win her over after allegations of his infidelity emerged but it didn’t work.
He said previously: ‘My music is my therapy. When I make these songs and I listen back to them, they make me feel good about myself because at least I’m admitting my faults, I’m trying to become a better man and better person.’
However, Paula has resisted his attempts at reconciliation and filed the paperwork to kick off their divorce proceedings last week.
The ‘2 Guns’ actress is reportedly seeking joint legal and physical custody of Julian and the couple’s split is now said to be ‘harmonious’, with no issues expected to cause conflict in court.
