Sikiru Adeyinka Ololade Ayinde Balogun- better known to millions of fans all over the world as Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Alhaji Agba and Mr Fuji– was a Nigerian singer, songwriter, bandleader and cultural icon. Inspired by the music of his faith, Barrister is widely regarded as the inventor of Fuji music genre.
Born in Ibadan on February 9, 1948, his music career started in 1966 and spanned five decades until his death in 2010. During his lifetime, he had over a hundred albums to his name and he inspired several generations of Fuji musicians. He would have been 70 years old today.
