Days after Jay Z came out to publicly defend US President Barack Obama’s decision to endorse Gay marriage in the US, another ‘big rapper’ has come out to show his support.
Atlanta rapper Clifford Harris better known as T.I caught up with Sway on MTV’s Rapfix recently and told him how he felt on the whole matter ‘Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don’t care… I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it. If it’s not something that directly affects you, if it doesn’t affect you, then what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?… I think that you should be able to do whatever you want to do. I don’t see how it matters one way or another’.
T.I who has often cited Jay Z as one of his rap role models says he’ll be voting for Obama because he admires his touch of Hip-hop.
The rapper was arrested and released for a string of times last year. In September, he will be off probation and eligible to vote.
T.I is also the founder and co-chief executive officer (co-CEO) of Grand Hustle Records.
