Popular Kenyan rapper, Rabbit has expressed dissatisfaction with the Kenyan media, saying he thinks DJs in the country are more interested in Nigerian music instead of promoting Kenyan music.
According to the rapper, who feels most media personalities and Disc Jockeys in Kenya don’t like him, took to his Facebook account on Monday, March 2, 2015, blaming the media in the East African country for killing Kenyan music by flooding the airwaves with 95% of Nigerian and South Africa content.
‘The media is not promoting Kenyan music, they flood the airwaves with 95% of Nigerian and South African. I know they don’t like me but I don’t care because I know they are not promoting Kenyan music.
Meanwhile, Rabbit whose real name is Kevin Ombima, is not the first Kenyan artiste to complain about the domination of Nigerian music in Kenya; Jaquar, another Kenyan rapper, did the same when he lashed out at Iyanya in January 2015.
