In a graceful manner, actress Omoni Oboli hit back at a fan who branded the seemingly fast movie production cycle in Nollywood as laughable, as she asked for some ‘respeck’ to be put on her ‘business’.
An excited Omoni announced the completion of another movie shoot, Okafor’s Law, which stars act like Richard Mofe Damijo, Ufuoma McDermott, Yvonne Jegede, Halima Abubakar, Uche Nnaji and others.

‘And it’s a wrap!!! We started with a prayer and God has been more than AWESOME! I can’t begin to tell you how grueling it has been for over three weeks. There were times I was overwhelmed but I LOVE my job and that kept me going! I think we might have broken a record. We finished shoot this morning and we already have the 1st cut of the full film ready!’ she shared.
‘I had my editors working overtime. We did have three days of no shoot in between and that helped. Thanks for your love, prayers and encouragement throughout the journey. I love you all to bits!’
A fan suggested that Omoni finishing another movie shoot barely three weeks after her movies, The First Lady and Wives On Strike, shows that Nollywood movies are less credible in quality.

‘What kind of movie do you make in 3weeks.lol…..#Nollywood is a cerious joke… No offence just saying,’ the fan had commented.
Saying she took no offence to the comment, Omoni disregarded the claims that Nollywood has lost credibility while also claiming to have paid at least 250 Nigerians during the course of the project.
‘@topealat non taken darling, it’s just that you are kind of showing some ignorance. 3 weeks is for principal photography alone. I’ve been in pre production for this movie for over a year and post production is still going to take some time,’ she replied.
‘Filmmakers all over the world shoot in a couple of weeks as well. Nollywood is NOT a joke! It’s an industry that employs millions of Nigerians! At least over 250 Nigerians got paid on this project alone so put some ‘respek’ on my business! Bless.’
