The first teaser poster for the long awaited Nelson Mandela biographical film, Nelson Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom was officially unveiled last weekend at the Cannes International Film Festival.
The movie, which stars Idris Elba as Nelson Mandela and Naomie Harris as Winnie Mandela is an autobiographical work written by former South African President, Nelson Mandela chronicling his life journey from his childhood through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa.
Directed by Justin Chadwick, written by William Nicholson, and produced by Anant Singh, the teaser poster is the first of a series of images that will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom will be released in South Africa on December 6, 2013.
