A man who claims to be a 700-year-old spirit in Kano was arrested on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 by officers of the Nigeria police in Kano.
The named man Nura Hamza, was alleged to have duped a man of N800, 000 before the police nabbed him at his resident at Kurnar Asabe quarters.
The suspect had deceived his victim that he was a 700-year-old spirit and demanded for the ransom, which was to be dropped only in the bush for spiritual duties.
The police recovered seven pieces of fake $100, three bundles of cut-to-size papers with pretext to be $100, four MTN SIM certificates, three motorcycles, generator and one mobile phone from the suspect.
