On Wednesday, June 25, 2015, an event held in Lagos to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Youtube. A number of people in Nigeria who are making waves with their videos were hosted to a gig tagged YouTube & the Stars.
The event held at the Intercontinental Hotel and Resort, Victoria Island, Lagos with the likes of Ariyike Akinbobola, popular with her Youtube channel, Ariyike Weekly as well as Kunle Idowu popularly known as Frank Donga. Others include Olisa Adibua whose YouTube channel, OligarkiTV showcases his popular interview show, The Truth as well as Toke Makinwa with Toke Moments.
The Youtube stars all shared their experience and moments that inspired them to start the channels with other young people in a way that encourages more to get involved.
