The international conference centre of University of Ibadan was packed with thousands of excited students of the prestigious institution to witness participants of the Fayrouz L’Original 2 competition who came out to wow the judges with their fashion innovations.
The Fayrouz L’Original 2 auditions jury made up of owner of Mai Atafo Inspired line, Mai Atafo, prolific designer, Kunbi Oyelese of April by Kunbi, ace photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi and Rhema of House of Tara were already seated and eagerly expecting to be blown away by the amazing display of the young talents.
Billed to hold next month in Obudu, Cross Rivers State, the semi-final stage will have winners of the regional auditions battle head-to-head and secure slots in the grand finale holding in July, 2015.
The winning team stands a chance of winning N4m while the first runner up will be rewarded with N1m and finalists will also go home with consolation prizes including Apple Macbook laptops and professional cameras.
The competition kicked off last year and produced winner, Team Elan who have gone ahead to showcase at several fashion shows alongside other popular designers including Mai Atafo, April By Kunbi, Deola Sagoe and others.
