Chelsea were officially named champions of Barclays Premiership League today, May 24, 2015 after finishing top on the league table with 87 points.
The team defeated Sunderland 3 – 1 to finish the league on the high although the league had been assured before the last few rounds of matches.
The Black Cats, as Sunderland is known, drew the first blood in the 27th minute through Steven Fletcher before Diego Costa equalised for Chelsea in the 37th minute while Loic Remy added two goals in the 70th and 87th minutes to ensure the Blues ended the day victors.
