On July 1, 2012, Nigerian entertainers Banky W, Sasha, Funke Akindele, Yaw and others made their country proud as they lifted the Olympic Torch as part of the proceedings and build up to the 2012 London Olympics.
‘Had great fun today! Its a great privilege for me. I feel so honoured‘, Funke Akindele happily said via Twitter.
‘Thank you all sooooo much for the support, encouraging words EVERYTHING , honoured to have represented my Nigeria, united we stand‘, Storm Records’ Sasha tweeted.
