
At least three people involved in the Oworonshoki chopper crash have been confirmed dead and rescue officials have bagged two of the corpses.
The helicopter crashed into the Lagos lagoon at the Oworonshoki axis of the Third Mainland Bridge around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, witnesses told Newsroom.
Relevant government agencies are working hard at the point of the crash and residents of Odunsi in Bariga said they saw the chopper go down.
‘It happened around 3:15 p.m.’ Ababyomi Giwa, a resident of Bariga who claimed to have seen the accident unfold, said.
Shortly after the accident, a Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) spokesperson, Yakubu Dati said: ‘It is true but we are still trying to piece the information together. The appropriate agencies are mobilising on site. So, we are waiting for information.’
