
Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out signing Lionel Messi as he takes charge at English club, Manchester City.
When asked if he has plans to bring in the Argentine to his new team during a Q&A with thousands of City fans at Etihad yesterday, the Spanish coach stated:
‘He is not a bad player, definitely not, but I’m sorry – Messi has to stay in Barcelona for the rest of his career.’

Pep who won 21 trophies during his time at Barcelona and Bayern, will take charge in Etihad from the 2016/17 season after signing a 3 year contract.
