The jewel thieves who robbed Kim Kardashian in Paris earlier this month dropped one necklace as they left her hotel, TMZ reports. (Perhaps it didn’t fit in their getaway bicycles’ baskets, or something?).

A member of the public noticed it in the street the next day, and Parisian police are now hoping they’ll be able to pull DNA from the piece to help identify the robbers.
The necklace in question, a diamond cross, is only worth $33,000, TMZ adds, so to be honest the thieves might have just thrown it away on purpose. I mean, is stealing it in such big stake (and terrible) circumstances even worth the effort?
