Osas Ighodaro was announced as the winner of the best actress award at the eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award.
The award ceremony took place on Saturday, May 14 at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
Ighodaro beat fellow actresses Nancy Isime, Bisola Aiyeola, Kehinde Bankole, Asabe Madaki, Meg Otanwa and Genoveva Umeh to win the coveted award for her role in the movie, Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story.
She expressed gratitude to God for winning the award and dedicated it to her mother whom she said passed away while the movie was still in production.
She admitted that she did not see herself winning the award but was grateful to the viewers for voting for her.
She also won the best-dressed award for the night.
