Fast forward to the early hours of Saturday December 6, the self-styled musical Taliban was allegedly attacked by armed robbers and in an attempt to escape he ran the new jeep into a trailer.
Narrating the events exclusively to NET, his manager Danku who was also in the ride and currently hospitalised explained that ‘We were on our way from Surulere to meet Bangalee (D’Banj) on the island because Oritsefemi and D’banj are on the same flight to South Africa to perform at the finals tomorrow, but as soon as we got to Stadium this black tinted corolla with four armed men inside started following us, I think they actually wanted to Kill Femi because they were just shooting, but Oritsefemi was the one driving and he didn’t stop, so while he was trying to dodge and escape them, we ran into a trailer’.
He tells our correspondent the armed robbers fled the scene when the crash happened.
According to Danku, Oritsfemi escaped unhurt and may still be able to make the trip to South Africa ahead of the Big Brother Africa finale tomorrow, while Danku sustained a couple of cuts and bruises and is being treated in a Lagos hospital.
