Pop boy band One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson has lost his mother, Johannah Deakin following a long battle with leukaemia.
‘It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016,’ a statement released by her family reads.
Johannah, who would’ve turned 43 next Friday, is survived by her husband, Dan Deakin and seven children.
‘Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment.’
Leukaemia is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow where blood cells are formed.
Louis is expected to perform his debut single, ‘Just Hold On’, at the X Factor finale on Saturday, December 10 in tribute to his late mother.
