On Thursday, August 30, 2012 President Goodluck Jonathan commissioned the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Gateway in Onitsha as part of his one-day official visit to Anambra.
Those present at the commissioning included Ojukwu’s widow, Bianca who showed gratitude to the State Government for honour her late husband.
Also present were Anambra state governor Peter Obi and Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha. Others include Senators Chris Ngige and Andy Uba, Representatives Uche Ekwunife, and Victor Ogene as well as former Minister of Information and Communication, Dora Akunyili, among others.
