On Thursday, December 15, at the Bridge in Lekki, Lagos, singer Niyola will be having a special concert, titled ‘Yours Truly’.
The concert is the first of what is planned to be a once in a quarter live band showcase of Niyola’s body of work for her friends and fans.
This will be live music at its very best. No Autotone. No backing tracks. No miming.

The show will also feature an all-female band with performances from female guest artistes.
Niyola, who has been away from music for a while, explained why her album which was scheduled to be released this year was put back.
‘At the beginning of 2016, I had two goals: to release an album and to launch my movement to empower young women.
‘I spent the most part of the year tending to a health condition abroad and as such, I was unable to release an album this year but with my voice, I can still give power to women from all walks of life, encourage them to defend who they are even if it means being different.’
A night with the sultry Niyola promises a lot of sparks and romance, and this concert would not be any different.
