Nigeria’s Miss Jane Ogbe Emerges Second Runner Up At World Cup Beauty Pageant

Nigeria’s Miss Jane Ogbe, has emerged as the second runner up at the recently concluded Miss World Cup Beauty Pageant in Germany. The beauty pageant which was held on Friday June 17, 2011 preceded the ongoing Under 20 Female World Cup also being held in Germany.

The pageant which was held in the German town of Rust saw Dominique Ela Wisniewski of New Zealand emerge winner and crowned queen while Germany’s Christian Trost and Ogbe fell into second and third place respectively.

‘It was quite an experience and I thank God for the opportunity. I am privileged and honoured to represent Nigeria and our rich cultural heritage’, Ogbe says.

Ogbe’s who hails from Benue State first attempt to beauty pageantry was Miss Earth 2007 where she emerged First Runner-up and crowned Miss International 2007. The University of Lagos graduate has also competed in other pageants such as Miss Globe International Beauty Pageant (2007) and The Queens Of the World Contest in Berlin (2009)
