A Magistrate’s Court in Ejigbo, Lagos State has ordered the release of performance artist, Jelili Atiku and others, who were arrested in January 2016.
The artist, along with others who took park in the public performance piece were allegedly arrested on the orders of a traditional ruler in Ejigbo.
After deliberations in the court’s chambers, the Magistrate J.O Adeyemi announced that both contending parties and reached an amicable agreement.
The magistrate then ordered that all the charges against Jelili and others be struck out and they to be discharged and acquitted.
