There are only five more contestants left in the ongoing second edition of Nigerian Idol and as it gets tougher by the week, we can’t but cross our fingers as we hope our favourite contestant wins!
But other than the contestants and judges – Jeffery Daniels, Charly Boy and Yinka Davies, it’s been nice to see quite a number of celebrity judges grace the show to mentor contestants, offer critiques and deliver performances.
Celebs like M.I, Waje and the Afro-Juju maestro Shina Peters have graced the stage to the delight of the contestants and studio guests. Others include DJ Zeez, Illbliss, KSB and Lara George.
Over the weekend 23-year-old Lynda Giami was evicted from the house leaving the five remaining contestants Joe Blue, Honey, Mercy, Najite and Stephen to battle for the mouth-watering prize of $100,000 and an SUV.
Who do you think will win the big prize? You could win a prize for guessing right!

I definitely root for joe blue, he’s quite unique, brings in his signature in his performances, full of energy. He delivers! I sure do hope he wins. However, if he wins or not, I think he has it all, the sky is the limit with such talent!! Go Joe Blue!!!

I think Mercy is good because of her swags, that, I will say is natural for female artist, leaving her swags behind, there is nothing extraordinary about her voice. she has this unique style of singing that is not the best for a 21st century singer.eh eh eh and seduces the guys with her eyes.that’s all she does.
Joe blue is a guy that entertains everyone despite the fact he is not as flashy as Mercy with her swags.
I love his vocal, he is very versatile, I love his tenacity. IF he wins Nigerian Idol I am sure he will continue in greater strength more than what we can see on stage at the moment because this is second chance on Nigerian Idol and he has been skilfully groomed through out this process.
