The Nigerian Idol contestants have served us some major looks over the past couple of weeks, and last Sunday wasn’t any different.
Let’s take a look at what the top three wore for last Sunday’s live show.
Kingdom
If delivering back to back was a crime, Kingdom would be in handcuffs by now. For the first look of the night, Kingdom dazzled in a patterned purple tracksuit. He finished this look with a pair of black and white sneakers, and he sure looked like a sweet boy!
He wore an icy blue jean blazer with white embroidery around the neckline and sleeves for the night’s second performance. The budding superstar paired this with a black shirt and pants and accessorized with a silver neckpiece and a lapel pin on his chest while belting out ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ by Bee Gees.
Akunna
Being the last woman standing on a music reality show must be a dream come through for the Jiggy lawyer turned singer. Week after week, Akunna has given us unforgettable fashion statements, and this week wasn’t different.
For the first look of the night, she brought in all the Afro-house energy wearing a yellow and red Ankara Corset ball jumpsuit with a sweetheart-crossed neckline. She styled her hair in an Afro mohawk with two extended pigtail braids behind. She rocked the ‘Mama Africa’ vibe perfectly!
For the second performance of the night, Akunna gave us an elegant metallic look. She wore a silver sequined short dress and styled her hair in Shuku braids. She accessorized with silver hoop earrings and wore bright red lipstick to give her a fiery look. She finished up with a pair of white heels while singing Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl In The World.’ Well, isn’t she? She’s the only girl on the Nigerian Idol show.
Francis
We might need to arrest Francis for looking this good every week. He dazzled in a silver and black patterned Agbada paired with a matching cap and black pants. Francis’ dressing embodied the definition of a king that he is, and we loved the fit.
Who says men can’t wear pink? Francis Atela proved the naysayers wrong because he sure looked good in the burnt pink single-breasted suit he wore for his second performance. He paired this with a brown turtleneck and accessorized it with a chain lapel pin on his chest. He plaited his hair in an all-back style and wore a pair of black shoes to finish off. He stole our hearts with this look just as well as he did with his powerful performance of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You.
