12 contestants on Nigerian Idol season 7 survived theatre week out of 35 hopefuls in what was a tough stage. The contestants were assigned songs to sing 24 hours before their solo performances. In what was supposed to be a list narrowed down to 10, the competition was so tough and the musical deliveries so good that the list was expanded to 12.

Q: How do I vote for my favourite contestant on Nigerian Idol?
A: You may vote via the Mobile site, Website, and the MyDStv/MyGOtv App only.
Website / Mobile site – You may vote for your favourite contestant via the Africa Magic website or mobile site on africamagic.tv/nigerianidol
MyDStv/MyGotv App – You may vote for your favourite contestant via the MyDStv/MyGotv App if you are an active DStv subscriber in selected countries with an eligible package only.
Q: When will voting open and close?
A: Voting will open every Sunday in conjunction with the on-air announcement and will close on Wednesday 23rd March at 21:00 (WAT)/22:00 (CAT) for the first vote round.
From Sunday, the 27th of March, voting will close on Thursdays at 21:00 (WAT)/22:00 (CAT).
Q: How many times can I vote on each platform?
A: One can vote 100 times on Mobile site and Website. If you are a DStv subscriber customer with an eligible package in the selected countries and have the MyDStv or MyGOtv App, you can vote based on your package, below are eligible packages:
