A Nigerian footballer Austin Ndife died on Monday, December 24, 2012 in Nepal due to cardiac arrest.
The 21-year-old player had reportedly been suffering from heart issues and was admitted at the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Bansbari, Nepal.
Reports say the player had arrived in Nepal for trials and had not signed for any club before he died on Monday, December 24, 2012.
Ndife was said to have arrived in Nepal a couple of months ago and had appeared in the trial for A Division outfits Three Star, According to Ndife´s close friend.
A Request has now been made for his body to arrive in Nigeria for burials and proper arrangements.
Meanwhile African players in Nepal have pleaded with the FA to arrange a friendly match with Africa XI and a team from Nepal in memory of the late Ndife.
