Nigerian dance crew competes at International dance battle in Germany

Lagos-based dance crew ‘619’ will be representing Nigeria at the International Battle of the year dance competition in Braunshweig, Germany.

619 crew emerged winners on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the MTN sponsored Battle of the year held in UNILAG after defeating their opponent ‘Squad One Machinery’  in the final stage to claim a cash prize of  N500K and the trip to Germany to battle it out with other dance crews from around the world.

 The crew members, who were over whelmed after the win, said ‘We are grateful to God and we look forward to the international battle of the year in October’

The guest performances included MTN ambassador, Banky W, Mode 9, and indigenous rapper Ill Bliss

The MTN Battle of the Year is a youth culture event driven by the dance element of hip-hop where break-dance crews engage in competitive dance to determine the best break-dance crew that will represent the country on the World stage.
