
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nigerian-American director, Rick Famuyiwa is currently in talks to directs Son of Shaolin which is based on a novel about a group of teens living in a gentrified neighbourhood.
The adaptation is a mix of Shaolin mythology and modern-day kung fu, one of the teens finds out he’s the last of his bloodline and must find a way to survive a killer.
Longino wrote the script for Son of Shaolin and will executive produce. Sony executives, Matt Milam and Maia Eyre are overseeing for the studio.
Rick Famuyiwa has directed The Wood, Dope and The Flash film.
